1. Definition
According to vocabulary.com, an announcement is a public statement that is usually formal and has a specific purpose. From the definition, it can be concluded that announcement text is a text which consists of something or information.
2. Social Function
The function of announcement text is to announce something to others or specific groups formally, such as announcing about the events.
3. General Structure
Announcement text has two general structures. First is the title and the second is explanation. In explanation part, there are six important aspects. These aspects are type of event, date and time, place, participants, address, and contact person.
