Unfortunately, CapCut does not have a built-in feature to automatically extract a background from your video clip and make it a separate element. However, there are a few workarounds you can try to achieve a similar effect:

Method 1: Using the Freeze Frame and Duplicate Clip:

1. Import your video: Open CapCut and import the video you want to use.
2. Identify the desired background frame: Play the video and pause at the frame where you want to extract the background.
3. Freeze the frame: Click on the "Split" tool and choose "Freeze" at the current frame. This will create a new clip on the timeline with the frozen frame.
4. Duplicate the freeze frame: Right-click on the frozen frame clip and select "Duplicate." This will create a copy of the background frame.
5. Position the background frame: Drag the duplicate background frame to the bottom of the timeline, under your original video clip.
6. Adjust the background size and opacity: Use the tools on the timeline to resize the background frame so it fills the entire frame. You can also adjust the opacity of the background if you want to make it partially transparent.
7. Edit your video: You can now continue editing your video with the extracted background. You can add additional elements, effects, and transitions to create the desired look.

Method 2: Using the Chroma Key and Mask Tools:

1. Import your video: Open CapCut and import the video you want to use.
2. Choose a background color: Select a solid color background that contrasts well with the main subject in your video.
3. Use the Chroma Key tool: Go to the "Effects" tab and select the "Chroma Key" effect.
4. Adjust the Chroma Key settings: Use the color picker to select the background color you chose in step 2. Then, adjust the sliders for "Color Range" and "Edge Tolerance" to refine the background removal.
5. Use the Mask tool: If there are any areas of the background that haven't been removed properly, you can use the "Mask" tool to manually remove them.
6. Duplicate the background: Once you are satisfied with the background removal, duplicate the remaining video clip. This will essentially create a separate element with your main subject and the extracted background.
7. Position and edit the element: Drag and drop the duplicated clip back onto the timeline and position it above the original video clip. You can now adjust its size and opacity, add effects, and edit it as a separate element.

Additional Tips:

• This process can be time-consuming, especially for complex video clips.
• Experiment with different background colors and Chroma Key settings to achieve the best results.
• You can also use other editing software with more advanced green screen features to extract more complex backgrounds.
