It is very inspiring that Ivan Gunawan, an Indonesian designer, funded a construction of a mosque in Uganda. The name of the mosque is called as "Masjid Indonesia by Ivan Gunawan" and it is located in the Butanjwa Hoima District, West Uganda. The construction began around April 2022. The mosque can accommodate up to 400 - 500 worshipers. It has a beautiful minimalist design and a tall tower. It is said to be one of the few mosques in Uganda built with a white exterior.

Ivan Gunawan reportedly built the mosque after being inspired by a charity post about the difficulties faced by a community in Uganda due to a lack of clean water and proper prayer facilities.

He is very kind-hearted and helpful. We hope we can spread kindness as well like Ivan Gunawan.
